CIVIL SUIT AGAINST TWO SENIOR REPUBLICAN SENATORS EXPOSES BUSH ADMINISTRATION'S HYPOCRISY

Under the guise of advancing 'freedom from tyranny and oppression' the Bush Administration endeavors to impose the idea of a democracy upon Iraq and the Greater Middle East. In his address to the nation at Fort Bragg on June 28, 2005, President Bush reiterated that part of our strategy is to help ensure a free society in Iraq, a society based on, amongst other, 'equal justice under law'. Yet, in our own country, the Administration has imposed its particular brand of tyranny upon the populace - a tyranny perpetrated by a democratically elected government upon its own people.

Two sets of standards have developed in the execution of the laws in America today - one set applies to the general populace, the other to those in authority. Officials, who abuse their positions or violate the law, do so with impunity. This has become the norm and there is no effective recourse available to the general population against this phenomenon. Officials in authority manipulate and abuse the administration and justice system to protect themselves and fellow abusers from accountability. Criminal actions by these officials are protected by means of further criminal actions.

This protectionism insidiously encourages immoral and corrupt behaviour by officials. The collusion amongst officials to protect their own from criminal accountability is widespread throughout all branches of government: executive, legislative, and law enforcement/judiciary. This profound malevolence permeates every level of government in the United States today - city, county, state, and federal-and plays out day after day, year after year.

An acute case in point is the $20 million civil lawsuit filed on Friday, June 24, 2005, against the two senior Republican Senators from Arizona, Senator John McCain and Senator Jon Kyl. This case traces the collusion between the two Senators and President Bush to cover up a large criminal conspiracy within government, and their attempts to protect the perpetrators thereof.

In August 2004, the two Senators were given access to a 1000 page dossier providing detail and evidence of a criminal conspiracy by 230 officials of government. The Senators were requested to execute their statutory obligations pertaining to those crimes. Instead, Senators McCain and Kyl acted to cover up the crimes. Meetings between Senator McCain and President Bush since August 2004 have failed to initiate investigation or prosecution, and the crimes and their cover up continue unabated. The 'Dossier of Crimes' has been filed with the United States Senate and House of Representatives Judiciary Committees. The civil case against the Senators is filed in the US Federal Court for the District of Arizona, Keyter vs. Senator John McCain (and) Senator Jon Kyl, case number CV 05-01923-PHX-JAT.

The corruption displayed by this case is not unique. A further example is a civil suite against the 230 corrupt officials of government who have committed a staggering number of crimes between them, which makes compelling reading: Perjury and Tampering with Court Evidence by judges; Rendering Criminal Assistance by police chiefs; Obstruction of Justice by politicians; perjury, fraud, theft and other crimes by officials underlie that suit. Details of both cases can be electronically accessed through the Public Access to Court Electronic Records (Pacer) system of the US Federal Courts.

The rot in the system laid bare by these cases exposes as total hypocrisy the Bush Administration's de facto international thrust to free the world from tyranny, and to establish in Iraq a society based on 'equal justice under law'.
